Las Vegas, NV – Roy Jones, Junior today announced he has signed a deal with Gil Martinez Boxing LLC to establish a business residency inside his Las Vegas-based Roy Jones Junior’s Fight Academy. Through the renowned and respected boxing trainer Gil Martinez, the Academy will now offer private boxing training, one-on-one fitness and recreational boxing lessons as well as professional level technical boxing instruction to further position the Academy as a world class boxing and training facility.

A fixture in the professional combat sports scene, Martinez has been training elite athletes for over 20 years in boxing, kickboxing and mixed martial arts. He is accredited with the championship rise of many A-list fighters including Randy Couture, Ray Sefo, Vitor Belfort and Michael Chandler, as well as UFC contenders Ryan Bader, Gray Maynard, Mike Pyle and newcomer Geane Herrera. In addition to his training expertise, Martinez is often sought out to analyze boxing and MMA opponents and devise techniques to neutralize specific strengths. He also has worked with the boxing youth of Las Vegas for years and has coached many to the Junior Olympics, Golden Gloves and regional and national USA Boxing championships.
